De-Actiivating DRL's on a Polo!

Featured Replies

Hi, gf's 2010 Polo DRL's use the headlights as well as side lights and as a headlight as blown I'm de-activing them until I replace blown bulb however de-activing is not easy!

This is the de-activation method as printed in the hand book.....''Push the turn signal and main beam lever down and back and hold,(right turn signal and main beam flash, switch ignition on and off again for 3 seconds'' I've tried this but nothing happens and I dont know what they mean by 'hold' and right turn signal when its says push down which is left!!!!???

Any help?

Thanks

ps the fabia just has a switch! easy.

Now I know why every Polo I see has it's dipped headlights on, day or night - DRL's using the headlights instead of dedicated DRL's!

The procedure sounds the same as for the Octavia (models without Maxidot). May be worth giving this a try?

Deactivating the function daylight driving lights

– Pull the turn signal light lever towards the steering wheel up to 3 seconds after

switching on the ignition and at the same time, slide it to the bottom and hold

it in this position for at least 3 seconds.

Surely it'd be easier to buy a bulb?
