Hi I have just paid a deposit on a Fabia vRS mk 1 from a garage around our way and I am now eagerly awaiting them to tell me I can go over and pick it up, which they said should be early next week, although I asked if there was any chance of it being ready by the weekend...

It is a 2005 (54 plate) yellow Fabia vRS with 48k on the clock 2 previous owners, I have arranged for the garage to do the timing belt and water pump as well as MOT and service before collection. I only a little test drive in it as I was running short on time, but I loved it.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it and running it around a bit and getting a feel for it a bit more. It is certainly a step up from the 98 Peugeot 106 1.5d that I currently crawl around in, and the insurance is around 30% less too which is a bonus.

Anyway I hope to become a common face around here and hopefully get to learn some valuable information as well as maybe offering some.

me too.... on Saturday woo woo sounds like our situation we saw it last Saturday silver fabia vrs 60.000 miles gorgeous to drive... part exchanging my vw golf tdi gt .... so very similar car which I love just she's done too many miles now. looking forward to the vrs though

That sounds like more of a sidegrade than an upgrade to me, don't the golf and the vRS share the same engines?

So i picked it up yesterday and spent all afternoon grinning more so when i was driving it. Mrs Bear had a little drive and loved it too. I'll need a few days to get used to it but initial opinions are fantastic.

Did you get yours yesterday as well?
