Hello and thank you

Featured Replies

Hello at last, I've been lurking on the site for some time and it's high time I finally uncloaked and introduced myself.

Thanks to all of you for your posts, feedback and advice. Thanks to you all, I'm now a double Skoda owner. In March 2012 I swapped my BMW 530d for a Suberb Greenline Elegence. Never looked back and never missed the power, the car or the ultimate driving experience. The Superb is every bit as good and the confidence in knowing that you have a hugely reliable car that is reasonable to maintain, tax and fuel cannot be bought. It's the best motoring move of my life... Until today.

....For today, I collected my dream car. It's not mine, it's for my dear other half and we will fight for the keys occasionally. A Yeti Urban 2.0 TDI 110. We swopped a 9 year old Fiat Stilo that was costing a fortune in head gasket s, pipes and sensors. The yeti is fabulous (black looks great with the Annapurna alloys)and we're looking forward to getting to know it better. Great experience from the dealer, the car was in a delivery dock in the showroom with a red carpet leading to it, what a great touch from Sheehy motors in Naas. The drive home was a lot of fun, it's a really responsive drive and feels lively in a great way under you. No front parking sensors which I thought was standard on the Irish spec but I need to check this and it's not a big issue, just a minor niggle as I did a lot of research on the car and the spec.

The Superb will still be the main family car but the Yeti will be well used also. It's a great combination of cars.

The forums here really helped me with the decision to buy both cars and the expertise here is great. I'm looking forward to a few projects in the future. Tuning the 110 hp engine in the yeti might be an option and maybe a couple of minor touches and accessories.

So I'm a committed fans and I'm looking forward to getting more involved on the site. Although it will take a while to match the expertise of some of the crew here.

Thanks again for all the help
