Hi Tasha

Cannot see its the battery, if it was the car would not have started in the first place, but could possible be something to do with your

problem with the engine warning light you had before ! that why you should have read the codes as apposed to just clearing the fault.

What I would do is first check the battery, voltage check both at rest and again when the engine is running, check out connections for the Alternator and finally make sure it is serviced, Plugs,(if I remember its Petrol) Filters, oil, etc.

Ok thanks well having some new sensors fitted on monday so maybe that will help fix it :)

Sounds like the car is stalling and the ignition light comes on?!

Umm just the red battery light comes on ..

But does it sound like it's going to stall before it cuts out - chug chug chug

No

It could just need a throttle body clean and reset.

Ok , thanks for the help :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Mine does the same actually, 2003 Fabia Classic. Usually giving it some revs once I start it sorts it out.

Booking a service in next few weeks so might just ask them to take a look.
