Location of Thermostat 2010 2.0VRSD CR

Featured Replies

Guys,

Just found this great forum but can't find the answer to this question.

I think my Thermostat has quit as I have all the usual problems with not getting up to temperature.

Only problem is I have no idea where it is on the block to replace. I think I've found it but if anyone can let me know or better still post a pic that would be ace.

Thanks Paul

Are you sure the thermostat is playing up?

The diesel engined Octavia's are extremely thermally efficient which means that when the outside ambient temperatures are low the car will never reach operating temperature (90 degree's), more so when speeds are low or you spend quite some time in an urban environment.

It has been know for the temperature gauge to actually drop when the heater matrix is pulling out more heat than the engine is able to generate.

As for it's location, I don't know, sorry.
