New phone time...again.

Featured Replies

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Note but I'm bored with it. I'm also fed up with Samsung Kies software telling me that it cant sync to my pc because its mot supported when it worked fine a month ago.

I am going to buy sim free and want to try something new. I have had an iphone and the note. I thought about a windows phone but there are a few to choose from and dont really understand the difference.

All my music is on itunes so anything to make it easier to sync to my new phone would be handy too.

Given the 2 choices of os you've experienced, I'd write your own pros and cons for each.

Effectively once you've done that that'll help with the phone choice(s)

Well my experience of android has been a bit mixed. Apps are easy to get/use and the Note is good for the internet and facebook etc. The downside is I can never get it to sync with my PC and getting music from pc to phone and vs versa is a nightmare.

The Nokias look really good but are they actually good? Is the only way to get music from itunes to a phone easily is to use iPhone?

Are all android phones all the same? If I pick up a HTC for example will it have similar issues/pros to my Samsung?

Kies is a fantastic piece of kit in persuading people to go for HTC phones!

I'm sure double twist app might help with the music sync.

Never had a problem with Kies or Kies air TBH. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 on Gingerbread,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,still :wall: come on Jellybean ffs.

I find kies a pain in the 'arris. Not much better than itunes, which is rubbish. For music you can just drag and drop from itunes into android and if need be, it will convert apple M4a to AAC.

I am sorely tempted by the new luminas, as they are something different from the blandness of the iphone and even android, but there is nothing wrong really with my galaxy s3 bar rubbish battery life.

Solution is to use bluetooth, wireless sharing (ES File explorer android side, just a shared network drive PC side) or a microSD adaptor for kies.

Nokia windows phone, Simples.

Have a look at the new Sony Xperia Z or ZL too
