Headlamp allignment

Featured Replies

Need to adjust the offside headlamp aim slightly. Any ideas which screw adjusts the height, and which way to turn it?

Thanks!

The upper adjuster seems to move left/right and the lower adjuster up/down. I say seems because when you move either slightly you do get some up/down movement however the rear lower one doesn't seem to effect any sideways movement. Point it against a wall and mark the beam centre on the wall then have a play :nerd:

Thanks, don't suppose you have a photo of what you mean by the lower adjuster? Is the upper one the large (12mm?) hexagonal plastic head?

Looking at the light from the front there are two adjusters visible on a pre FL. The adjuster visible at the rear of the light unit is for the main beam height.

Assuming you have halogen lights and not Xenons? There are 3 white plastic adjusters that take a 6mm Hex (Allen) key. One behind high beam that adjusts height only and two behind the dipped beam. One is closer to the front of the car and higher on the housing, one is further back and lower. Just nipped out to get this pic......

The upper one I describe is closest to the orange bonnet strut seat in the picture. The plastic nut just retains the headlamp housing.
