HID help

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Before I start, I am not interested in the legalities and politics/opinions relating to HID kits. This is NOT for myself.

I need to order a HID kit to fit a 53 plate VW (B5) Passat, I am lost with regards to bulb fitments bla bla bla.

If someone could be kind enough to link me up with a set (4300k) for as close to £60.00 as possible I will be grateful :)

Thanks

IMHO................

You would be wise to raise your price point a little, HID kits at £60 can be poor quality and won't last, there is also a chance of damaging your car's electrical systems if you use a kit with cheap, nasty ballasts. You want to aim for a good quality kit >£100 from a good, reputable seller.

Cheap kits can come with cheap burners which can have inconsistent light output, slow warm up times, poor hot re strike times and irregular colour rendition.

A quick Google search for 'H7 HID kit' will throw up the two biggest players in aftermarket HID kits.

If £60 is the absolute limit then I would reluctantly suggest ebay and do some seller feedback research.
