I dont think 816 RPM is that low and is proberbly normal for your engine. My old ford mondeo runs fine without the egr even connected. What engine does your car have?

hello mannyo, is an 130bhp superb confort, it has been ok ,no trouble , but now when hot , idle speed , go climbing and excesive engine vibrations, and when clima is running go bad.

Thanks

I think there is a sensor that should increase the idle speed slightly to compensate for the increased load place by the climatronic when the compressor is running. Perhaps the sensor is faulty and thats causing the idle speed to vary causing the symptoms you describe. I dont have a PD though, but someone will be along soon to either confirm or deny what I have said.

on all PD engines the idlespeed should be 903rpm :)

there a sensor that tells the engine that the aircon is about to start so it raises the revs for a few seconds to compensate.. sounds like a dodgy sensor somewhere. :(
