Low Presure Mains - Presure Washer

Featured Replies

Hello All,

New to the this forum, have been lurking here for just less then two months since I bought my vRS

I'm about to order the equiptment required to clean my car properly and was hoping for some advice, I will probably be following the same route as in this thread http://www.briskoda....aning-wishlist/

As part of this order there will be a pressure washer probably a Nilfisk C110 pressure washer as I have seen it recomended many times across these forums.

In the driveway in which my car will be cleaned the mains pressure is very low and works on more of a trickle then a spray, will this effect the pressure washer or the ability to use it?

Thanks in advance

The easy way out of this is get a farley large container and fill with water and then draw the water off that for the pressure washer.

Excellent, thanks I'll try that :)

Your container would need to be reasonably high for gravity feed to work. I tried my Nilfisk this way during the hosepipe ban. And it won't suck the water through. It needs a fair bit of pressure to function. But it's an excellent washer.

If the Pressure washer is any good it will suck,But it depends on how the hose pipe is fed to the machine, if it has a on board tank then you will

have to bypass the ballcock.and put the pipe direct to the pump,
