What Does This Mean

Featured Replies

I have the EML on in my '06 Fabia Vrs 1.9 and VCDS is telling me

19557-Motor for intake manifold flap (v157) open or short to ground

p3101-35-10---intermittent

Does anyone know what this means or what I have to look at?

Many thanks

It could be on the aircon/heating motor flaps under the dash, if it is if you go into avac ? and reset the motor flaps, it happens a lot and usually the heater sticks on. To be certain have a look on the VCDS website. cheers - Stuart

No that's nothing to do with the aircon etc.

Thats the little flappy think in the intake manifold on the engine.

Quiet common to stick/fail.

Phil

V157 manifold flap is I believe the flap valve on the EGR.

HVAC flaps wouldn't put the EML on I don't think.

Ah yes. The anti shudder valve? Or the actual flap that lets the exhaust gassess in?

Anti shudder I think.

Anti shudder I think.

Think you're right as that's motorised on the BLT engine.

To the OP, does the car/engine shake a lot when you turn it off? It should be very smooth and just shut straight off.

Phil

I think you can test the flap in the "output tests - 03" section.

I only know this as when I was playing around in there a while ago I accidently shut down the engine when I activated that flap!
