I dunno, three pages of jumping up and down like they do on Barryboys is pretty much an overreaction. Yes its bad, but like I said, its nothing a few hours wouldn't put right. Being a near 50 year old and having owned my Vrs since it was 18 months old and 9k on the clock ( bought June 2004), I have to say that car modding should fall into the "sometimes less is more" bracket.

keep it simple and concentrate on the important things like start, stop, steer and plenty of oooomph (my last car was a 320bhp Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 with nothing more than a set of 17's from the outside!).

True it could be rescued but then you would be paying to fix a car that is over priced already. A car that generally looks poor is poorly maintained to.
