Hello Gents, (and ladies)

So im martyn 26 from Shropshire.. I've never been a car junky, but have always enjoyed a "brisk" drive every now and then. I Started back driving a fiesta zetec 1.25 as my first car. It didnt start well.. or end well to be honest.. I brought it at a auction £600 i paid i think.. after a quick drop off i went to go and show off to the family what i had.. (yes i was proud of it) last stop i popped to my dads.. He got his microscope and toothbrush kit out to give my car a once over.. Sipping my tea watching from inside the house with a big smirk i watched how he seemed to struggle to find anything.. he finally shut the bonnet and made his way back to the house..

"It sounds like a sewing machine" "your clutch has 300 miles left" "you may as well use a hairbobble for your cambelt" were just a few of the comments i received sure enough within 200 miles i had a car that should have been a right off, We brought a engine though and fixed it up. And it turned into a great car... I saw the potential in her from the start. After a few years i ended up inheriting a Kia Rio 1.4 automatic.. (which is for sale with only 18,000 miles if interested please instantly pm me and do not read on)

I gave the Fiesta to my mom, who drives cars like shes stolen them... and has since driven the fiesta to its grave sadly.. However i had my new Kia Rio 1.4 auto.. Ok to say this car is slow is a understatement.. driving it makes me deeply sad.. Firstly, the reaction speed of the gear changes are a bismal. Putting your foot down on it sounds worse than listening to your parents at it..but worse of all.. The MPG!!! its horrific.. I dont drive like a maniac everywhere, but do drive a little quicker than average joe bloggs,,, For £55 of petrol im getting 200 miles... IM not someone who really cares too much as long as im not getting 10mpg but my god im not paying that for mpg to drive a kia rio Auto.. Dont buy one... ever.... (unless its mine, and if your interested may i add ive made all of the above up for reading purposes... its a GREAT CAR... honest!).

Anyway now this comes to why im here.. So for the first time in a while, im in the financial situation where i can get something, that i like, rather than can afford.. Its been a rocky road of choosing cars.. but ive finally made my mind up.. I'm going to buy a BMW 320.. Haha only joking.. Ok so i needed something that was suitable for the family, looked a little sporty, fun to drive, come in second hand under 10k.. Around the same mpg as the kia (25mpg urban lol) so there was one car for me.. Octy VRS..

So im now going to be a regular on here i hope, im currently in the search for the right motor (this time with the help of my dad) but have my heart set on the VRS. The dilemma i have is model year, I have a huge liking for the 2010 model version which usually come sin above budget..There is only one reason (Which is a poor one) but its the light shapes lol.... i dont know why but pre 2010 (with slanty lights) look a little boring.. but the 2010 lights give it that meaner slightly sporty look.

Anyway ive rambled on way to much now, i luck forward to hopefully having a part in the community here. :D
