VRS and police attention ?

Featured Replies

Does anyone find that having a Fabia Vrs has got them more attention from the police? I've only had mines a year, and in that I've been searched for drugs (and the car), questioned about a robbery and last night pulled over and told that the national speed limit on a dual carriageway is only 60 and not 70 lolol

  • Been pulled a few times, haven't been pulled over since I've had the fabia. Plus I hide my drugs really well. Lol

Nope, not been pulled once in 2 years - AND mine is lowered, tinted, grille painted, splitter added.............

................I always thought the speed limit was 60mph until a mate got done for speeding on one - 88 in a 70!

I've never been pulled regardless of what I'm driving or how I'm driving. Maybe it's because I drive the vrs more carefully than other cars

That's just poor education! As long as there are stricly two carriageways with a physical separation (even if only one lane each side) its still 70mph!

and mine used to get a bit of attention but touch wood* have not been pulled over in some time.

Not once been pulled and I'm driving a modded vRS.

Has the car got "previous" I would be wondering

Nope, never stopped in 5 years of ownership.

Do you wear a baseball cap or your hood up whilst driving?

Never been pulled over in my vRS, but then I don't drive like a tit.

Must just be me then ! jars thats what I was wondering ! Either that or I've been in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Chorlton no lol, I always wonder how those with their hoods up can see properly when driving !

Got pulled once, because it was so dirty you couldn't read the number plate. Aside from that, I haven't been pulled.

Sounds like it has a police marker on it to me.

Modded & pulled once for not slowing down from 60 - 30 before the 30 sign, told me to take it easy in built up areas, commented i had a nice car and sent me on my way...

Apart from that i get a glance when driving past most police vehicles but nothing else

I would be having a word with my local station to see if they can find out.

Same as Jonnyy, I get a glance most of the time whenever I drive by, never been pulled over or anything though.

as others have said, I suspect it has a 'marker' on it. Maybe your local plodman may be able to help, if he's not too busy sat in his unmarked van behind a bush with his camera

Never been pulled in 3 years of driving / riding a bike. My mates get pulled all the time but they tend to drive like idiots.

I would also say that your car more than likely has a marker on it for something.

I get the odd glance from the police, put it down to tinted rear windows. Never been pulled over though.

I got pulled in mine about 3 days after I brought. I was going threw chesterfield on the bypass which is a 50 and went pass the coppers at 70.... Eek. They pulled me over which it had a speed camera in it and 3 coppers too. He asked all the questions and crap then let me goo lucking me and then the other month for my private plate the silly bitch!!!

Why'd you get pulled for having a private plate?

I've never been *pulled* but they usually pay me a bit of attention at checkpoints. Probably cause I'm fairly young and my car is usually gleaming so will look a lot more expensive and up market than it is. Plus my Xenons of course ;) lol

I would have thought throwing a few Kisses would have been more appropriate, you deserved to get booked.

Not going out with a police man's daughter are you? When I started going out with the wife I got stopped at least 3 times a week, sometimes no reason was given (never asked) to silly things like braking a lil too hard at a roundabout lol. Put it down to the wife's dad being an ex copper lol

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!
