Have the chance of getting a Columbus so i'm seeing if theres any interest in my Bolero.

Only fitted about 2 months ago (max) when I couldnt get hold of a columbus unit.

It's currently fitted to the car and works exactley as it should. I didnt need a different facia it fitted stright in after taking the factory fitted stream unit out.

Fitted to a 2007 Octavia.

I have updated the gateway to avoid any battery drain issues I would suggest you do the same on cars older than 2008.

As discussed on the forum it seams the newer units (which this is one, at least 2010/11) have a duller screen when fitted to older years. I dont know what year this happens but on mine the screen is duller during the day but exactley as it should be at night. Also unless you have a newer model Octavia or update the pdc controller you will lose the reversing image on the unit but the sound/beeps will still work.

Don't suppose you can help with regards to the facia trim for the Columbus you are getting. My local dealer say they do not do a facia panel for it, yet many many people on here say otherwise. Perhaps you know the part number or so something. Thanks in advance.

AFAIK its the same facia.

It was when I fitted a bolero in place of a stream anyway.

You need a different facia if your fitting a columbus.
