2002 Skoda Octavia VRS 1.8T

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Greetings from Galway in the west of Ireland.

New on here, new to Skoda been into Vag cars for the past few years. Currently have a 2005 A4 2.0TDI and a 2002 Octavia Vrs 1.8T. As I'm new on here I'm not sure how it works but i need some advice and expertise.

The Octavia is putting up some codes and throwing on the check engine light. Codes are as followed

17705 pressure drop between turbo and throttle

16955 cruise control/brake switch A circuit malfunction

17544 additive fuel adaption, bank 1 lean mixture

16825 evaporative emission control system, incorrect purge flow

17704 characteristic field controlled cooling system, malfunction

16487 mass or volume air flow circuit, high input

I've serviced the car, done timing belt kit and waterpump, thermostat, coolant temp sensor, brake light switch, recirculating valve and mass air flow sensor.

It still gives the same codes after all this work. I've ordered a 5 piece boost pipe kit and 3 piece pcv hose kit from Creations motorsport which should be here before the weekend.

Basicly I'm wondering if there is something I'm overlooking or if anyone has had similar problems any advice would be greatly appriceated.

Regards,

Shane.
