Bonnet soundending

Featured Replies

Does the octy mk 1 Vrs suppose to have these? The guy I work with has his on a Leon a makes it sound so much quieter!! Can we get these any part nums

And is there a cover for under the engine? As gettin fed up of noise from underneath and water getting on my power steering pump?

No underneath bonnet on vrs!!

You should have an undertray but most are now missing! Garages cant be bothered taking them off and putting back on for services so get binned! Or they get damaged etc

Mine never had an undertray or bonnet sound deadening from new.

Pretty sure the diesels had sound deadening so there is a part available.

Would heat be a problem though?

I dunno the Leon's have them with under tray aswell so I don't think it would be a problem, would prob keep heat in and help clear windows better :)

Diesels have a sound deadening layer and a larger under tray

would be nice hate it when you get water on the block and you get a bit of steam lol

Mine has the under bonnet cover think the last owner fitted it

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

whats a soundending? I only have sound-deadening :giggle:

I have it,i bought one and fitted from diesel octy. It's a direct fit,in less than a minute you have it on the car

But is useless on petrols....The sound isolation is minimal to very tiny, and that's because it's job is to stop the diesel noise to resonate in the bay and not to block it.

No point, engines are quiet anyway.
