SWMBO key fob and keys

Featured Replies

Just before Christmas SWMBO complained that her keys were dropping off the Seat's key fob. Here's what she 'normally' has on the key ring

Nothing out of the ordinary there- front door, garage and a couple of other keys on it.

This is what she (unbeknown to me) ACTUALLY had on the key ring when it broke

Result- new key fob...... Is it me?

Would broke out of the interest? The metal loop in the base of the fob?

That would drive me insane trying to fit those in my pocket, or with them constantly bashing into the dashboard!

I've got my key and a couple of loyalty cards and a headless Stig key ring on mine - nice and simple.

The metal 'C' that's on the bottom of key fob was the bit that gave up the ghost. it pulled out of the plastic body on 1 side so looked ok at 1st, but when you put the key loops back on with all the keys on because it was only help one at the 1 end they slipped through the gap that opened up between the key fob body and the 'c' bit. I thoght WTF how's she done that- she then came 'clean' and owned up to having all her works keys attached to it too when it broke.

If they were bashing against the dash she'd just turn heart FM up to drown the noise out and she doesn't do keys in pockets- most girlies don't....... Dispite me putting a dedicated key board up in the hall (out of sight and reach of the front door) she never uses it then asks me what she's done with her keys when she 'looses' them. as long as I've got mine in my pocket I don't even offer to help look anymore. I often reply 'they'll be where you left them dear as they have no legs' .... that's always good for a reaction!!!!!

Good thing was after ringing the stealer ..... HOW MUCH?????? a replacement was only a tenner plus P&P on eBay. Bloke even gives you a link to a set of pictorial instructions.

I'm so glad her Seat doesn't have a DPF... that would have ended in tears years ago if it had... can just imagine it. Phone rings..... 'It's me, the car won't pull, I've had this yellow light on the dashboard for ages and now I've got 2, what should I do' she's not from Venus.... she's a bl**dy alien....

Women. Can't live with them, can't bury them under the patio.

My keys are similar front door, back door, vrs key and superman keyring.

All my other keys are kept separate.

The wife still had the key to the zafira on her fob, which has been off the road for about 6 or 7 months, I took it off on Monday for her.

I presently have Skoda flip key in one pocket, house key and a tag in another, works strong room in a third. I also have a small key case which holds the keys for my Mum's house.

I know women don't "do keys in pocket", but they do have handbags!

My car key has a weird Bosch keyring on it that

I got free with some SDS bits and a silicone cover over the key

but nothing else. Can't stand it jingling in the ignition.

My house keys are separate from the car key.

On them I have the keys to my house, my mums house in London

and my father in laws house.

My van keys have a radiator key and the keys to a house I have a

service contract on.

If I kept them all on the one ring they'd weigh a fair bit.

you can, though expect around 12 years at HMP..... it's a thought though. Think I'm a bit too old now to reap the long term benefits!

She looses that too, often with the keys inside, though sometimes she looses it THINKING her keys are inside.... but they're not. she's 'lost' those somewhere else. it's depressing really.

Myself included, I do love a good rant about " her indoors " just pray she one day doesn't come out with--I've bought a Skoda a joined a Skoda forum babe!!

....and they say...whoever THEY are..., probably a wumman...that wimmin are the more intelligent of the species.
