When to turn of ESP?

Recommended Posts

The coding to make the ESP switchable depends on the part number of the ABS unit not the car model.

The method for the Golf in the link above worked on my ABS unit, there are a couple other codings for other part numbers and then there are some part numbers that can't be recoded.

My ABS unit has part number 1K0 907 379 BL. The "Golf method" should also work for part numbers that ends with BH/BJ/BK.

In my Superb that "Golf method" doesn't work. We try to change longcoding to that what APR-site suggests but ESP does not accept new code.
How ever I noticed that if you drive wide circle and continuously steering to the max ESP finally gives up. ESP and Tyre pressure lights turns on and fun begins. ABS will be still ON. When you restart engine and drive short distance everything comes back again.

I have to say that I am happily surprised that how Superb behaves. It is quite easy get in to sliding and keep it that way. For example when you press throttle quickly system gives more torque to the rear axle. That can be useful feature in some cases.

HI ALL,

I have the same problem :(

My ABS part number is: 1K0 907 379 BS

Orginal Coding for this module is: 843D601619240003210E06EB981D0052A1095021

I was trying to change long conding using the method from Golf R (http://www.goapr.com/support/esp-defeat.html?long_orig=+988760690+) but it's not working :(

OLD: 84 3D 80 16 19 25 00 FD 21 0F 01 ED 98 1C 00 41 37 0C 00
NEW: 84 3D 80 16 19 25 80 FD 21 0F 01 ED 98 1C 01 41 37 0C 00

Any idea ? Winter is coming ... 4x4 and enabled the ESC can not be fun :(

I think you have an incompatible ANS unit...
