Citigo Stop Start

Featured Replies

According to my local Skoda dealer the stop/start feature of my Citigo Elegance is disabled if the battery charge level is low, I have been driving a fairly short and regular journey - 6 miles - with the heated seats on the rear window demister and wing mirror heater on. This is a drain on the battery and may take the battery below the level to restart the engine with start/start on. Makes good sense to me.

That aside what a great little car the Citigo is and after all the fuss about car of the year why are there so few of them on the road? this also applies to its VW and Seat cousins.

Yes if you're drawing too much power, then engine isnt hot and a couple of other conditions along with low battery charge (low by stop/start spec, IIRC equates to less than 75% charge) in wont run.

Its the same system VAG use across brands/models
