sorry i ment to say guys

You won't need any particularly special tools for this job. A Haynes workshop manual is always a useful thing to have to hand too.

^^ wtf.???

the only special tools you need for this is a set of bearing race drivers, you need a 40mm and a 60mm in fact, when you get the brake drum off you will see that there is 3 little cut outs each side to make it easier to knock the old bearing race out, use a cold chisel on the edge of it.

once it's all installed it's a case of adjusting the bearing pre-load, there's o way of describing how to get it right, it's all about what you feel, but try and wind the nut on just until the bearing binds so you can't turn the drum by hand, then slacken it off to the next slot in the castle nut then whack the old split pin through, it sounds complicated but it will be obvious when you get there.

Good luck. P.s does anything work on your truck?

You can also do it with a large socket or a suitable sized metal bar/tube. Maybe not best practice though.

hi TeflonTom

i am not having the best of starts with the truck , things rotten/ broking/ leaking etc etc,

but at this rate i should have a nearly new truck,

PS, went to work today and my front driverside CV has started to click when on full lock , so thats me already got my next job to do before i even finish the last one ,lol

Hi Steven, my passenger side CV went the same way within the last week or so. Within a couple of days of being audible it failed all together leaving me sat on the side of the road with no drive. More rapid failure than I expected so careful as you go ;)

Mine clicked like that to and stoped working pretty quick I just swaped to the 1.6 drive shaft as there all the same
