Hi all- my son just informed me the pump is gone on PAS , 1.3MPI Felicia. - luckily i have a spare one knocking about- however, not sure what fluid it uses....the manual says NOT to use 'AFT' ......anybody know what i should ask for in the motor-factors without sounding like a dope!

The normal green mineral VAG fluid.

Yeh it's about £7 for a bottle from skoda/vw, it takes less than a litre to fill the entire system from dry..

Some motor factors will try and sell you lhm fluid as an alternative, but this will eat the rubber hoses...

it's also important that you purge the air from the rack if the fluid has dropped below a certain level, turn the wheels from lock to lock and hold it for a few seconds at each lock with the engine running and cap of the steering reveroir to purge the air out.

green mineral vag oil its or so used for suspension as well i got mine from GSF its like water lol
