Which exhaust

Featured Replies

wonting a full system for my car including sports cat , really wont the quietest system available but got to compliment my upgrades, s3 intercooler, uprated dv valve, green panel filter, apr fuel pump, iridium plugs, and i'm going for revo stage 2+ when all parts are fit just need the missing bit, exhaust . what would you guys recommend, my first thought was a full miltek system??

I have a full miltek and love it, however, it's not the cheapest. There are other makes which are no doubt as good for quite a bit less. I have no experience with these so will let other advise you.

You won't get what you want unless you research.

Very few places do a system just for the octavia.

Could try a custom job if you want. Or adapt a golf system.

Huh?

Jetex, piper, Miltek, blue flame, Magnex and Scorpion(I think),BCS

I have the 3" decat TBE Jetex. Superbly made and quiet on cruising but I've noticed it get louder lately, especially with 4 people in. It barks like a mad thing when on boost B)

If I was ever gonna get a full system, i'd go to Longlife every time!! Golf G60's have an issue with heat build up and other makes won't guarantee how long their's will last, but the Longlife one I got was superb on it! Lifetime guarantee, proper stainless steel construction AND personal custom fitting to your car makes it a no brainer. On the volume front, when you talk to them about fitting, they build it from scratch out of straight pipes of whatever bore you request and ask you how loud or quiet you want it to be and make it accordingly.

Do a search on here for them; i've bigged them up several times for build quality and that I found it's cheaper than most other systems.

Why does it need to be a custom fit, is every stock system custom fitted?

Also different fitting centres have different quality, with an off the shelf unit your usually guaranteed good or bad quality.

From personal experience, LongLife quality can vary immensely.

I can recommend Stockport or Leeds branches, excellent workmanship in both.

Every longlife system i've seen is completely custom fitted. They have straight pipes which they bend to shape the underside of the car and silencers/boxes which they can pack with different types of materials to suit. The grade of stainless steel is correct as well, unlike some of the nightmare's i've seen with Powerflow.

It was a while ago I used them, but at the time I could vouch for both the Cardiff and Carshalton branches: that G60 heat transfer problem cooked the innards of the first centre box fitted... turned the fibre glass into balls which rattled inside... so they refitted a brand new one with a different material which worked fine. They also made a custom style set of rear pipes and when I clipped one on a kerb which made it rattle, they just rewelded it solid again, no questions asked. (I heard the previous dealer in Basingstoke was a bit dodgy, but it's changed franchisee now and i've had tyres fitted at the new one and they seemed okay.)

As I said, it's a TRANSFERRABLE lifetime warranty (without the usual balls about having to pay to get them to check it out every year like some other custom makers!), so if there's any problems, just take it back to get rectified.

It's all on their website. :)
