Went on the configurator last night just to have a look at the car and found that some options have been removed.

From what I saw it was not possible to spec the following anymore:-

Black wheels

VRS leather trim

Alcantara trim

There may be other things missing but this is what I noticed. Must have started simplifying builds until the new estate arrives.

Probably because there are no new builds, what's made is done already. That was the message from my local dealer last week.

I thought they finished new VRS build production before christmas!? Theres a few stock cars in the system but none with any nice options currently.

I think youll find you can still order an estate, hatch stopped end of last year

Switching to Octy 3 obviously, getting the 'base' models stocked up before they add the sports version.

I was told you can still order the other trim levels of estate, but all vRSs were already built.

Seems strange that Skoda have taken steps to amend the spec for the vRS estate and not remove it entirely then.

Perhaps like you say they've built a load with standard wheels and seats but with different spec and its luck of the draw whether you can get one to your preference. I was lead to believe production would cease around march time.

Production of the Scout finished over four months ago. This model was one of the first to be killed

before christmas you could only buy cars that were already built.

According to my dealer, whom has been on the phone with Skoda Customer Services, there are slots left on the final production run of vRS estates due to start 1st March. Once they're gone they're gone, but apparently okay to order still (I wouldn't put too much ohnes on the online configurator).

They've taken Skoda off the Lex car list at work completely now... i think that happened in October / November - we have to order minimum 16 weeks in advance though.
