2.0 TDI 3rd Service

Featured Replies

3rd service due now I'm on a variable, and its flashes up at 47,000 miles

Anyone got a list of parts I need to get so a friend who is a mechanic can do it, also what does he need to do.

Does the belt need changed this tine, not been done yet.

Ps car may go back to dealers after 3 years which is about 4 months time so don't want to spend a fortune

Quoted £245 by the local skoda dealer

Possibly should tell you in the service book. Would imagen its a minor service oil change etc.

Deal should tell you whats included for the price.

It all depends on what was done during the previous service, however on variable I'd be looking to change the following...

Oil (5W 30 - VW 507.00)

Oil Filter

Air Filter

Fuel Filter

Pollen Filter

Brake Fluid (every 2 or 3 years)

£245 is about the norm for a variable main dealer service, see here...

The cambelt mileage interval will be noted in your service book as it not only varies by manufacturing date but also by engine number. The PD170 is usually around 80,000 miles but the CR170 is longer (you don't mention which engine you have - see below), however the time interval is fixed at four years regardless of if it is a CR or PD.

Click on the maintenance tab for typical/maximum brake fluid and cambelt pricing from Skoda on the above link.
