Annoying warning chime?

Featured Replies

I have a strange warning chime / tone in my Superb and I have no idea what it means.

It only sounds when the ignition is off, and it's not always there.

As far I as can tell it comes from the speakers in the doors.

Anyone knows what it is?

Parking or side lights left on.

^ probably that. Check your indicator stalk is central, ie not down or up.

Nope, light switch is in auto and no lights on.

The sound is not the regular belt/frost warning chime but a "deeper" tone

I've never heard the sound when i leave the car, only when I'm about to get in

Yeh the indicator stalk left in an "on" position ie for parking lights makes a lower frequency warning sound.

It happens too often to be the indicator stalk, as I rarely use that (use the comfort indicators most of the time)

More ideas?

The only 'bong' that I've hadnis to do with the indicator stalk being either up or down when the ingition is off but that is quite high pitched.

Hi,

How about the 'low battery' warning chime? I think a message is displayed on the MFD thingy as well for a couple of seconds.

Regards, etc.

I have not seen any battery warning although i have suspected that it might be a battery warning

Seat belt warning chime? But the system would need to think the car was moving . . . .
