How hard is it to split the wing mirror from the base that bolts to the car as im geting a new base mine is cracked and i just want to change that

Although it is a small job it's abit of a pig...

They've managed to get many clips and many screws onto the cover bit that sits onto the full mirror itself...

I can't remember 100% but the mirror glass is a pain to remove without breaking and the back cover has lots of clips so you will probly damage some of them also.

The mirror glass you can normally just pull off you don't need any tools , then there is several small screws dotted around inside then the top half should just pull off

So do u have to remove the glass 2 split the mirror from the base?
