Fabia vrs question...Monte Carlo anwer?

Featured Replies

My wife wants to sell her 2007 Fabia vrs & buy a recent Monte Carlo 1.6 tdi 90bhp - I've tried convincing her to keep it....but, as always she knows best! Anybody ever come across this situation before, or is it just me..?

I'd like to know what you guys think I'd get for her car, which I really like - it makes a change from my Suberb 170bhp 4x4...but I wouldn't want to swop!!! Certainly whilst the snow is around!

Ist registered 2007 to the dealers wife, making us the 2nd owner later that year.

Bog standard - never be altered - normal spec (not SE)

Black magic paint

39500 miles

cracking little mover, however I know the dealer will make a profit on us if we trade it.

Based in the Salisbury area...would really appreciate advice on the best way to move on.

VMT.

Omg thats a shocking move!

Why oh why would anyone want gloss black stick on wheel arches and a downgrade from a punchy 130 pd engine to a lowly 90 bhp common rail unit?

Has she actually drove the 90bhp car? I have driven the in laws seat ibiza 90bhp and it is a dreadful car! Soo slow its dangerous

Your fabia sounds a cracker!

Go for the test drive, I'll be surprised it a change is still on the cards.

The 1.6 CR in 105bhp is the one to go for and it's still not as fun as the mk1 vRS.

Really crazy move, if you compare the pros and cons of the deal surely that would make her realise the vRS is so much more than the monte?

I've been tempted to chop in for the 105bhp Monte and get it mapped up a bit but i don't think it would ever give me the happiness i get now.

I look forward to the Mk3 Fabia and see what that offers. :)

For you though, as said above, a test drive will sway her one way or the other.

Go for the test drive with her and the saleman so you load the monte up a bit to exagerate the difference between the 2 ;)

Sell the wife keep the vrs job done

Madness, what are her reasons?
