Mobile Phone Compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi

It's time to upgrade my HTC phone and contract and this time I would like a phone that is compatible with the factory installed Bluetooth in my Yeti SE Plus.

I'm looking at the most recent android phones really and would like to know the makes and models of phones you hook up with no problems.

Thanks in advance

Samsung Galaxy S2 connects to my Elegance fine.

As does the Galaxy SIII

Blackberry here; all types I've tried work.

Sony Xperia Go works fine. Same for HTC Desire.

Sony Miro and Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini also fine

My HTC Desire connects and works a treat after 3 years so no reason to replace it!

Thanks for the replies, was looking at one of the Samsung or Sony models. I must admit I was a little disappointed and perplexed as to why my HTC Desire S2 failed to be 'seen' by the Bluetooth in the Yeti, yet some of you have had no problems!

Guys how on earth do I get my HTC Desire to operate in my 2011 superb?

BT module under drivers seat is 5NO 035 730 D which from forums seems to be a universally compatible unit.

It finds HTC whilst in discoverable mode but when this switches off it seems to be lost!

All I really want is to be able to make & recieve calls......not too fussed about all other features, but they would be nice if possible.

Any recommendations ??????

My samsung s3 pairs initially, but disconnects and reconnects every minute or so as I drive along with irritating bongs. After about 10 cycles it gives up and will not connect again until the ignition is turned off and on again? When connectedcit will work to make a call.

Very annoying, a new company phone to replace my old blackberry which worked properly.

It won't even download the phone book completely?

Any ideas?

Can I update the bolero firmware on a 2010 car?

I was told a lot of problems are caused from pairing from phone to unit. Try unit to phone. I connected my two Sony Xperia's no problem (j and t), sorry still have some loyalty towards Sony, I used to work on phone software. I did note when was pairing, the first time the pass code wasn't displayed on the handset.

PS. I did work on Bluetooth protocol stacks but have forgotten it all...

My 2 year old HTC desire paired after about 30 secs initially, and is now recognised by the car without difficulty. Sometimes it takes a minute or so to connect after turning on the ignition, but I'm not concerned about that.

However, I must stop being lazy and need to actually read the Columbus manual, as I often struggle to find the phone book and using the voice activation defeats me totally.

HTC Wildfire and Nokia C7 both ok

I collect my SE+ next weekend and have 2 phones (Work and personal)- does anyone know if it's possible to pair both simultaneously?

Strangely, I'm just reading the usually uninformative manual & it seems to indicate that you can pair up to 3 phones, but only one will work at any one time!

If you pair a fourth phone, the least used one will be deleted.

I've no experience of this, just a bit of info gleaned from the book.... assuming of course it's actually correct.

Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nokia 6800 both paired with no problem.
