Featured Replies

HI i have read various posts about poor headlights on montes and thought tosh why bother untill tonight having just come back from a evening meal out in the sticks its really the first time i have used my monte in what i call proper dark no srteet lighting / background lighting just moonlight and to be honest it was quite scary the lights are so poor (good for economy poor for heart attacks ) i have looked at various post and and have decided on phillips extremes i want white bulbs not the ice blue tinge things but question is are the bulds dual purpose do i need 2 bulbs high / low beam combined or do i need 4 bulbs 2 high /2 low bulb thanks i do not want to change any other bulbs thanks

you just need a pair of H7s as they are combined due to the the DE module in the headlights :)

You only need 2 bulbs , the same single element bulb (H7) provides high and low beam.

Many threads about this. After fitting the uprated bulbs use the adjusters to raise the beams as far as possible without upsetting others on the road.

You will then find the lights have gone from abysmal to barely adequate.

I'm considering an hid conversion despite the legality issues.
