PD Help

Featured Replies

Hello again, further to my last post regarding DPF's I have another burning question. Am now currently looking at a 2.0TDi Sport model with 61k at Dealer, would I be correct in thinking this is a 140 bhp version of the early VRS PD 170bhp?

If this is the case would I be correct in thinking it could potentially suffer the DPF problems?

Does anybody have any advise about the sport model, I am guessing its just the trim level and bigger alloys compared to the Elegance?

Also would anybody know of anywhere that can remove DPF 's in Hampshire area?

Many thanks,

If this is the case would I be correct in thinking it could potentially suffer the DPF problems?

You would be incorrect as the 16V PD140 in the fwd Octavia was fortunately never fitted with a DPF ;)

Only the 8V PD140 engines in the Scout and 4x4 versions had a DPF.

Excellent news, I am guessing it will be a 16v, it's a 2006 06, 2.0 Diesel Sport. Would you know if it's a 5 speed or six?

Thankyou

Its a six speed box. The sport was based on the Ambiente trim level. I've had mine now for 3 years and love it.

Thankyou, got a mk1 Ambiente now with six speed, could'nt go back to Five! So no DPF and highly recommended, think it looks like im changing cars

One other thing I've taken the back box off mine and put a pipe with tail trims on. Allows the turbo to spool up abit quicker.

is it not a bit loud.

No because its a diesel there's less back pressure, and diesels don't rev as high.

Is it a problem come MOT time??

Tapatalk'd from my HTC SXE Beats

NO, mine passed its MOT today like that.

Simon, I also have a 2.0 TDI sport. Does yours not have the twin tail pipes as standard?

Yes but some b****** cut them off.
