I have had my tfsi for almost 2 months now and fancy a little more noise from the engine.

When I went to auto sport Motorsport show I viewed piper cross and K&N stands.

K&n claim their typhoon gives an extra 18bhp and the piper cross stand was pretty unhelpful.

Now to me the improvement in bhp k&n claim seems a lot but can anyone back that claim?

Or does anyone recommend a good induction kit?

You certainly won't see those sorts of gains, especially from a typhoon. In fact, the risk with open cone filters in the engine bay is that they suck warm air in and you lose power. You're better off looking at proven intakes such as the ITG and EVOMS but even with a stage 1 remap you probably still won't see an extra 15bhp.

The k&n is no more open than a itg or EVOMS
