Just received my new taxi mag from the taxi centre.

They are now selling the new Seat Toledo at £52.99 PW.plus VAT for taxi owners with no deposit

The Seat is basically the new Octavia but with slightly different body panels instrument lighting and a few other slight changes, But the Seat is cheaper to buy in all variants, and you get allegedly a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

So I went for a look last night and its almost identical to the one in the Auto express review vid, a lot more rear leg room than my Octy 2 slightly wider as well.

How can skoda justify charging more????

Just came back from Barcelona and saw a few Toledos around -definitely their version of the Rapid. The nearest Seat equivalent to the Octavia is the Exeo -the old Audi A4 with different lights

The new Octavia is substantially larger than the MK2 Octavia, almost Superb size in its dimensions. The Toledo is the Rapid, The Leon is the Octavia, with the Exeo being on the Superb territory.

Yes they're made on the same production line at the Skoda factory in Mladá Boleslav

Exeo is definitely not Superb territory, my boss used to have the old A4 that it is based on and there was less legroom in the back than my wifes Octy II. I'd agree that the Leon is on same platform as Octy but it is not as big as Octy, especially the boot. Seat not really got Superb segment covered, but they do get one over Skoda in the people moving department, the Alhambra is one of the best 7 seaters around for the cash!
