Skoda Superb "Outdoor"

Featured Replies

The last two sentences of the review summarise the problem nicely.

and you wonder why they sell these - do Audi still do the A6 Allroad??

I know that VW do the Passat Alltrack (or something)

Looked at the Outdoor as I wanted 4x4 option but the sums just didn't add up. Ordered a 1.8t Elegance 4x4 instead. My money was better spent on creature comforts than some very expensive plastic cladding.

The Passat Alltrack is pretty discreet actually. I quite like the look of it, but it is cursed with an electronic handbrake. Will the Superb Outdoor come with anything to help it though or is it looks only? The Alltrack has adaptive chassis control, hill descent control and a few other electronic aids.

Outdoor is looks only, although very nice looks :)

Alltrack has 70l fuel tank but also shorter gearbox, better only for genuine terrain use. IMHO if you are after "universal" large-ish car, at present it's still the Mk2 Superb with rough road suspension, of course not available in the UK, you need to import.

Mk3 Octy may join the club when 4x4 is out, but note fuel tank is 50l (and no vent valve) in Octy 3 vs 60l stock / 65l+ vented (diesel only) in the Mk2 Superb.

Not aware that it has anything special - pretty much a bog standard 4x4 with some left over plastic from the Mk2 Octavia Scout !
