problem upgrading firmware

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Superb and have tried upgrading the Columbus firmware to 3810 The disc burnt and loaded OK but on reboot no maps and no media. Nav and maps only work with the map/nav DVD inserted.and no auxiliary input or music file on HDD.the radio is OK Any advice or suggestions how to regain full functions would be appreciated.

3810 does trash both music and maps. With the Columbus off, insert the maps DVD. Allow the disk time to be read. You should then get the choice of using from the DVD or uploading to the database. Choose the second option. You can now drive off and let this operation continue. If it doesn't finish, it will take up from where it left off the next time AFAIR. The AUX input needs selecting from the Columbus menus, plus you should now be able to tick "Time Display" and have a digital clock on the screen when the ignition is on.

Thanks again for your help. I left the maps DVD in the car overnight and now all is OK.

Great news! :)
