New Fabia website, assistance?

Featured Replies

Ok, so I`v owned a website for a while now and done nothing with it, just bought it because I could. I`d wanted to make it into a site dedicated to the Fabia vRS, similar to the other/old one but a bit more up to date & current. However, I never got round to it, so now the fabia-vrs website has gone down it seems like a good idea to get one up and running.

Now, I`m not 100% set on what to exactly to stick on there yet, its a bit of a work in progress in my head which I`m working on, I`v PM`d a few people regarding bits and bobs. Anyway, I think there should be a guides/walk-through section. So, if you have written or are going to write a guide, PM me if you want it on there, you will of course be credited for your work on the site.

Hope I`m not stepping on anyone's toes, I just think there are some really useful things floating about and it`d be good to put them somewhere safe where the pictures links wont disappear after a few years etc. I`d like to get a gallery up on there too, so even if you haven't written a guide your help could well be needed in the next few weeks/days so keep an eye out! Hopefully between us we can make a decent useful little site.

Thanks guys

Matt

Matt,

Brilliant idea! And thanks for volunteering yourself.

There's an eternity of guides etc on here and reviews that NEED to be catalogued.

You're a good man.

Brilliant idea, next time I do a few things on my car I will be sure to take some pics then hopefully I can add to it :)

Fantastic idea Matt.

Dunno if its practical but it would be really nice if its possible to get permission for you to port over the existing Fabia-vrs guides ?

They have come in invaluable and doubtless many here agree. It is only a compliment to the effort put into that site and It would be really nice if you did get permission to port those guides "as-is" over...just a thought.

Agree with the above is so much about cataloguing the information into some kind of easy access, there is just too much ! No deteriment to this site, but there is just so much good information.

Cheers guys, as you have said, there is some really good useful info on here that can/does save people money. If it wasnt for briskoda it wouldnt be here, so a massive thanks to all who run the site. I just think it`d be good to keep it all safe and easy to hand for future reference.

Some of the guides from the old site would be great, although I wouldn't know who to even ask regarding them, the site was build a bit before my time on here.

I`v made a start, a basic buyers guide/common problems, tech specs etc just tidying it all up a bit and getting it proof read.

Cheers for the replies!
