Lower fog lights

Featured Replies

Anybody know where to buy these lights?

Sorry no, but I suspect they are from another Skoda model.

Interesting though. I think they look OK.

Perhaps they'll be fitted to the facelift when it's released ?

Nice find. Never seen these before. Must be available in the UK though, on a UK registered Yeti. Where did you pull the photo from?

Image address is:

http://s019.radikal....c2d26d4b547.jpg

but Google doesn't seem to find anything with a .ru listing other than a slightly dodgy dating site.

www.radikal.ru is not a dating site, it's an image hosting site designed for rapid publication of photos for users of online forums, blogs, message boards, etc. And the forum thread from which the image was posted is this one at Club-yeti: http://www.club-yeti.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=1191&page=9

Well my posting of that "address" took me to a slightly dodgy dating site! :giggle:

Anyone tried translating it?

Of course. The view expressed is that the lamps were probably taken from another Skoda model.

What colour is that? Is it the Tangerine that was discontinued late 2011?

Very reminiscent of Octavia foglamps.

The translation ( from Russian) towards the end of the thread reads "where can i get these lower fog lights"

The registration on the car is potentially UKS - UK Skoda suggesting a publicity shot by Skoda UK.

I am squinting now but the grill badge is not reversed - suggesting that the vehicle is a RHD not a reversed LHD image. the tax disc also looks UK.

So not much further on really but they do look nice! Is there any provision for them in the wiring loom??

I'm rather surprised that no-one has mentioned 'PhotoShop' yet :x

What would a photoshop achieve? The image is not pretending to be something it is not - like a facelift. I think it is genuine. Maybe there are other (non Briskoda) Yeti owners out there that have sourced these somewhere (maybe abroad?) like TheHood did with the Russian lower grill cover. Mystery deepens!

Is it this off a 2004 - 2008 Octavia? I've no idea how they are mounted though!

Both grille pieces available:- http://www.superskod...e-SPECIAL-PRICE

Look closer - there is a full width aerofoil going the whole front of the bonnet (not east to spot against the black paintwork though), and this item is not available from Superskoda, only the black top grill and grill surround is available from them - never seen the aerofoil before. Well spotted Merlin's Friend.

In that case it was done by someone who can actually use the programme correctly. :giggle:

Full marks to Brijo! ...

Agreed. Neat.

And the caption below the number plate seems to read "Press Office", perhaps confirming the it is indeed a Skoda UK car, maybe lent out for review!?
