Columbus CD Button

Featured Replies

Is it correct that when you insert a dvd in to the columbus unit the CD button stays greyed out?

Dvd's and cd's play fine in unit but i never know if i have left a disc in the machine as the CD button on the top left of unit never lights up?

To play i just press the media button twice?

Is this correct or has the led behind the cd button failed? Unit on 11 months old

If you mean the 'soft' button on the screen then, as far as I can remember, it shows 'CD' if a CD is in there and 'DVD' if a DVD is loaded.

I don't have the best memory though...

The CD button stays greyed out, since it is not a CD. you you select video from the bottom of the screen.

The screen is either side lit by CCFL or LED, just like an LCD TV so there are no LEDs behind the screen at all.

Soft button on the screen does not light up DVD for dvd or CD for cd unlike the HDD, SD, AUX & Bluetooth soft buttons which are all lite and in use?

So its not normal for the CD button to stay grey and not pressable!!! even though dvd and cd play ok

it will light up DVD if you insert a DVD full of mp3 files, and CD for a music CD or a CD full of MP3s, however if you insert a purchased DVD, a Film for example then it will not light and you must press the soft "Video" button to get to the DVD playback controls.
