Skoda Auto electrical cabling assistance?

Featured Replies

Getting ready to wire up rear view camera, dvr and monitors to car.

Will be hard wiring into car fuse box in dash.

Need to run new power cable from dash fuse box to rear dvr to feed dvr and camera. (Manufacturer advises not to wire of boot 12v cig lighter in boot)

Does anyone know about car electrics who can advise what cable rating i need to run 6m from dash to rear of car and the cheapest place to buy?

Also want to run a cable from the electric tailgate button on boot to the front centre console again anybody able to assist with type and rating of cable?

It´s not that big a current you are gonna use, so more than a 0,75 should not be nessecary. Why not buy the Kufatec module instead of the "Halford solution" with two identical buttons for the tailgate?

Kufatec module is £130 plus from reading reviews requires soldering to main wiring harness.

Cable £5 Skoda secondary tailgate switch £20 so £25 v £130 to do the same thing!!

Halfords solution will have any extra skoda button in centre console so will look factory fit.

Its all about cost
