Hi all,

Please don't flame me right from the get-go, I now these things can be seen as a little chavtastic.

Call it a guilty pleasure but I've always liked them - and until I can get a car that has one as standard I was wondering whether there are any kits out there? And has anyone else done it/have any feedback?

Am I being naive doing it and it actually turns out to be a massive pain in the backside? I'm guessing it splices into the existing loom to make the same connection as last position on the key etc.

I'm still not sure that I want to do it yet but I'd be interested to know what members say about it as a job - everyone's got their opinion as to whether tey think its any good of course I understand that, but its whether its actually a big no-no on this car or not.

Cheers in advance

I would have thought itd be abit awkward with the immobiliser setup in the fabia. Youd have to leave the key in anyways so its be pointless.

They are cool though :p i fitted one to my ibiza vr6 project

I do belive its just as simple as running two wires from the ignition barrel to the start switch matey. Just gota find out which ones

You can take the immobiliser chip out of your key and fasten it somewhere where it can be picked up by the immobiliser system. Be warned this will almost certainly affect your insurance if declared as it's not far removed from just leaving your keys in the ignition all the time.

it wouldnt be too hard if you have it so you put key in turn ignition on then have your button send a live feed to the starter solenoid

On the ignition, you have the threee clicks, then that last bit that springs back, i think that just consist of two wires that need to run to a switch
