Just a heads up that I have just had the hand brake slider mechanism on the Scout replaced under warranty. Apparently in the last month the dealer has had 3 cars with the same problem.

Symptoms was progressively stiff action.

Well done for getting it in under warranty!

If it's on a jumbo box, mine developed a foldline in it which made it tough to take the handbrake down/off. Took the jumbo off, turned the slider 180 degrees, job done.
