Just about to perchase a mk2 octavia vrs petrol and doesn't come with cruise control, been looking at retro fitting on here but wondered if there was anyone local to me who could code it in for me for some beer tokens ?

Can you get personal copies of vag-com as I may invest if its not too expensive?

VCDS software if free to download, the cable (interface) can be bought from £5 upwards on eBay, these are hit and miss to get them working correctly and are limited in there function… they will not work on a CAN based car like the MKII Octavia though, for that you need the full fat version from Ross-Tech, the HEX+CAN version (suitable for ALL VAG cars) is around £250, this includes the licence, free support and updates for life though.
