Hey folks.

Just been doing some searching around and can't find any reference to activating DSR (Driver Steering Recommendation) only mention of it fitted to cars with ESP.

While looking through VCDS I noticed in the steering assist module there was an option to enable DSR.

Would this work? What real difference would it make?

You can try it, it will either generate a fault code or do nothing. I suspect its a feature of the ESP ecu, so enabling it in the steering ecu will simply leave the car listening for something it will never get.

Ah that makes sense. So even though the steering controller supports it it requires other bits and pieces to work.
