Hi Everyone,

Delighted and proud to be the new owner of a new Octavia Elegance TDi 2.0 PD in the beautiful colour of Sahara Beige on 27th May 2005.

Looks wonderful and drives like a dream, with so much umphhhhh from the turbo diesel engine.

Sold off the dear old Ford Mondeo GLS yesterday after 9 years of excellent service and in a way was sorry to see her go, but heck, what a replacement

Must admit to not being too technical and still finding my way around the controls for all the wonderful extras included with this car.

Would someone please confirm that the lights should be permanently on whilst driving my new Octavia and is a new safety feature with these cars, similar to Volvo's.

One would have thought that whilst covering "Lights" the manual would have made a big point of this but it doesn't, which i find quite odd??

I owned a 2017 Superb Mk III and recently swapped to a Mk IV and love the car apart from one very dangerous fault. Occasionally, the car decides I’m about to hit something and slams on the brakes - so hard, that you think you have hit something! It has happened several times whilst manoeuvering at low speed in reverse which is somewhat disquieting. But it has also recently done it whilst driving forwards - in no way on any occasion was there a risk of collision with either stationary or mobile

My 2012 Citigo ASG vehicle has developed a new fault. After a few hundred metres driving the engine suddenly revs high (then drops) and does not change gear. The amber (not red) cog warning light is displayed in the rev counter area. I read that this could be one of several issues that a OBD2 diagnostic check will reveal. My local independent garage that I use has said it would be safe to drive it to them to run the checks but they are eight miles away and I'm reluctant to do so. I could conta

Hi. I know there's a 'considering buying' forum but this is about an oldie so I thought this may be a better place to post...(a query for the long committed fans?)? I already have a 2005 Octavia Estate (1.9TDI PD105) and it is by a country mile the BEST car I have EVER owned. I bought it in 2013 for <£2.5k and apart from needing to do the clutch straight away it hasn't needed much over the 80k miles I've done in it since.
