FAULT CODES AND WHAT DO THE MEAN?! HELP

Featured Replies

i knew i had a failed abs sensor on my car for a week now as abs light and asr light was on.. knew the breaks was fine as there still all nice and sharp.. so i bought a cheep diagnostic lead and did a scan found out i had two faults found with my ABS which was..

00283 - front left ABS wheel speed sensor (G47)

30-00 - open or short to plus

the second is..

00287 - ABS wheel speed sensor, rear right (G44)

35-10 - - - intermittent

could it just be a clean of the rear right wheel abs sensor but replacing the front left?

any ideas please?

Possibly. My old Golf MkIII which I replaced a speed sensor on, the light stayed on for maybe 1- 1/2 miles then went out. That's the only time I've had reason to change one. If it stays on, there's a list on here of VCDS owners, one would more than likely be willing to sort it if it stays on. Search here for VCDS owners map.
