Illuminated dash vents

Featured Replies

I had a number of green led's kicking about for a while and didn't really have a use for them so had a think about what i could use them for so decided to look at illuminating the vent adjusters but couldn't illuminate the adjuster itself so decided to bond the led's in behind the adjusters to backlight them, probably not to everyones taste but i felt like doing something a bit different, colour aint a perfect match but then neither are my gauges so i'll get by :)

here's a couple of pics, not the best quality but you get the idea

Thats great, think i'll have to copy that idea

Was this hard to do??:-)

looks good

That looks fantastic! I think if it were me I'd have it a bit more subdued but perhaps thats just the photo. Definitely an improvement.

Feel free to do it to yours sesachc as your not really copying :)

And it wasn't particularly hard to do azzy12,just had to trim bits of plastic and then bonded them in :)

Cheers stig1 :)

and yesiamtom they are connected on the dimmer circuit and are turned up full for the picture as I wasnt sure how the pics would come out but normally i have dash lights set about half way and are less noticeable at half way but they are ultra bright led's so you could always use standard led's if you wanted them less in your face but there not that bright really :)

fair play, your dash lights do look insanely bright compared to mine now I think about it. Probably just the camera makign them look so insanely bright.
