Does my EGR need fixing urgently and how to delete an block

Featured Replies

Hello guys my EGR is making a hum I'm going to delete an block but can't do it till the end of the month will the car be ok to use in the mean time ?? And does anyone know how to delete and block vids ect ?

U opened a few threads now lol ;)

U can block it without actually using an egr delete..

U can buy egr blocking gaskets from Skoda/Seat/VW/Audi main dealers or forge motorsport for £2-£4.

U just take the egr pipe off between the turbo + EGR + put a block either end.. then take the vacuum pipe off the top of the EGR valve + block it.

This will stop the EGR from pumping crap into ur engine but will retain the ASV which will stop the engine from "carrying on" when u turn it off (Anti Shudder Valve)..

This will not put s light on or need to be mapped out but will ONLY work on the earlier vrs with ASZ engine.. NOT BLT.

I have put pics up on my build thread from when i did this but i used coke can home made gaskets lol.. i would advise a propper solid gasket on the turbo end as mine blew threw :D..
