Ops I only gone and bought another Octavia

Featured Replies

Ops I bought a Mk1 Octavia for my wife only last month a nice clean low miles 1.6 classic Petrol and set about really going to town and sorting out all the little issues and it's a great low miles car 58k on an 02 so I am well pleased.

I set about doing a big service and change the cam belt and go around the car and fit all the faults and I have to say I have been so impressed.

Then out the blue I popped in to see a mate in the car game and I came home with the keys to an Octavia Mk2 Diesel Classic

how the hell did that happen!!!!!!!

It has a bit of damage to it. Hence it was at my mates place so I need to find a front bumper for it. A head light drivers side and poss a bonnet but I think I can fix the bonnet and make a nice job of it..

But still the classic really is a basic model? No electric windows in the back.. no central door locking on a key fob  one item I would like to upgrade if I can..

and no trip computer which I have to say would have been nice but hmmmmm.. it is diesel so it should be doing good MPG anyway.. but having had it in the Mk1 Octavia it was like a game how much MPG could I get the car up to.. 45mpg for a 1.6 petrol is really good i feel..

Anyway so now I have TWO Octavia's and hmmm I dont know what to do.. well i do really.. I want to keep the new purchase for my wife as the family car really pleased we have got back in a diesel.. but the Mk1.. if I sold it I could just get back what I paid out and all the work I did .. or drive it about but I don't really need the car to be honest?

oh dear

Buy a third, you can never have too many :giggle:
