I have the Columbus and the fascia, and know now how to remove the stream radio, but where is the best place for the sat Ariel, is there a bulkhead bar like in the Octavia????

Not sure about a Superb but in both my Octavia's it's located on top of the glovebox (which is easy to take out and place the GPS unit there including routing the cable to the back of the Columbus).

Could someone please post a picture of there swing radio with the trim off, I and a mate from halfords have both tried to remove the trim to fit the Columbus, but to no avail, we tried every trim removal tool and anything else that would fit in the slot to try and remove it, does the chrome trim bit also need to be removed first.

Right here goes,

AT NO TIME PUT KEY IN IGNITION UNTIL JOB DONE

How to remove swing radio, place 1 or 2 thin hooked home made removal tools into the CD slot about half an inch, hook the inner edges and pull forward, next remove the 4 torx screws, slide the unit forward a few inches, and directly under the unit where it say air bag feel for the clip thats attached to the airbag wording, once unclasped pull unit forward, and remove the electric connector and aerial connector, remove unit, and look behind it where the airbag sign is, its oblong in shape, so press the 2 clips on the ends outward and the airbag bit will come out., making a mental note how it came out.

Get new fascia and and fit airbag bit into it in the recess provided, next fir Columbus unit, remove top air vents and behind at the back you will see a flat metal bar, double sided tape sat Ariel to it, and drop cable into radio housing, connect up columbus and slot back in, and put screws back in, connect up air bag connector back up and gently push fascia home.

Now turn on ignition and code Columbus and it should work without coding, 1st pic sat aerial location, next 2 showing unit working, 4Th pic no airbag warning g
