Folks, a question for you. I have a new vRS which has done just 2000 kms. Since day one, whenever the car moves from a higher road surface to a lower, or comes off a speed breaker, I get a thwacking sound from the rear. Dealer suggested its the rear seats but I drove around with the seat back folded down and still get the sound. Also drove around without the tool kit and checked that the spare wheel was firmly fastened down; thwack continues. Muffler brackets also appear ok. I do not get any noise when driving over a continous rough patch. :confused: Any thoughts? Thank you in advance. Bomi.

Could it be that the spare wheel is loose? Or the jack?
